Inside the Gate
There's a place that's called Heaven
For God's chosen few
I want to go there
And you can go too
The pathway is long
And not very wide
But if you call upon Jesus,
He'll be your guide
You won't want to miss it,
No, not for the world
The streets are pure gold
And the gate's made of pearl
And the River of Life
Flows right by the throne
There Jesus has gone
To prepare our new home
And our Savior Himself
Will be the light
There will be joy eternal
Oh what a delight
In a new glorified body,
We'll never grow old
And they say that the half
Has never been told
But you first must bow down
At the foot of the cross
And honor the One
Who has paid all the cost
Confess all your sins
And be washed white as snow
Be redeemed in the spirit
And cleansed head to toe
There's a choice you must make
On earth here below
That determines the fate
Of your eternal soul
So make up your mind
Before it's too late
Come on and meet me
Just inside the gate
